Delete your VSynC Scribe account
You can delete your account in the app:
- Open VSynC Scribe and sign in.
- Go to Settings, then Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted, confirm it's you, and tap Delete my account.
It happens right away and can't be undone. If you can't open the app, write to privacy@medsolutions.me from the email address of your account, and we'll delete it within 30 days.
Delete some of your information and keep your account
In the app:
- A medical result: go to My records, then My results, open the result and tap Delete. The file and its reading are deleted right away.
- What a doctor can see: go to Sharing and tap Stop sharing for that doctor. They no longer see your record; they keep only the visits they did themselves.
- Doctors, a consultation note: notes are medical records, kept for 10 years (see below). In History, tap Remove from my list to hide one; ask VSynC support to give it back.
- Doctors, your signature: go to Settings, then Signature, and tap Remove.
Recordings delete themselves: from the phone as soon as the notes are written, and from our servers within a day.
For anything else, such as your contact details or a single prescription, write to privacy@medsolutions.me from the email address of your account and say what you want deleted. We'll reply within 30 days. A prescription a doctor gave may be kept, because the doctor keeps it in their clinical records.
What is deleted when you delete your account
- Your account and sign-in.
- Patients: a record you started yourself, with your results. If a clinic created your record, it goes back to that clinic as its medical chart, with the visits that clinic recorded; your results, your sharing with other doctors and the requests you made are deleted.
- Doctors: your profile, PRC ID, transcripts, recordings, schedule, staff and the records no patient has claimed that have no visits.
- Clinic secretaries: your links to the doctors you work for.
What is kept after you delete your account
- Medical records, as Department of Health rules require: a doctor's notes of a visit and the prescriptions are kept for 10 years after the visit, and a minor's at least until they turn 18, then deleted automatically. They are locked away: only authorised VSynC staff can read them, to answer you or a lawful request, and each reading is logged. A record you started that a doctor saw keeps your name, age, sex and allergies with its visits, but not your contact details.
- Prescriptions a doctor gave are kept in the patient's record, because they belong to the patient.
- A clinic's medical chart of a patient, as above.
- Records the law requires us to keep, such as the vetting of doctors.
Transcripts of consultations are deleted 90 days after the visit, whether or not you delete your account.
